Holiday Wreaths

Wreath greens, pine cones and wire all provided. You bring the wreath frame, ribbon, wire cutter and pruning shears, and we'll show you how to create your own holiday wreath. (Nature Ornaments is at the same time in the same room.)

Every snowy weekend in December (except Christmas week) tubing at Calumet County Park, Hilbert (north of Stockbridge).
Admission (including tube) is $6/person (no carry-in tubes). Tow rope, warming shelter with concessions.

Timm House Christmas
Timm House, 1600 Wisconsin Ave., New Holstein

The Nutcracker in the Victorian is the 2012 Timm House Christmas theme which features a collection of over 80 nutcrackers of various sizes on display. Visit the Victorian Christmas Parlor, a trip through the Enchanted Forest located in the home's living room. Then a stop in the Land of Sweets, with a quick detour into the Master Bedroom with its Christmas Tree of homemade/handmade ornaments. The final stop is the Gingerbread Kitchen for refreshments. Alice in Dairyland will visit as well on December 2 and light the Christmas tree at 1:00pm. We encourage you to come enjoy this seasonal favorite and visit with Alice in Dairyland!

New Holstein High School

All activities are at New Holstein High School. Chili dinner starting at 3:30pm at the New Holstein High School with the Festival of Wreaths, Kid's activities, photos with Santa and Holiday entertainment. The Holiday parade will start at 5:15. Free horse drawn carriage rides from 3:30-6:00pm. A Christmas Concert will start at 6pm.

Can you identify Wisconsin frogs and toads when they call? Would you like to learn how? Have you ever found a turtle's nesting site? Come and discover how people like you are helping the DNR in statewide citizen-based amphibian monitoring projects. The program is presented by Andrew Badje, a conservation biologist with the state bureau of endangered resources. Free. Donations appreciated.
