  1. Sturgeon Spearing Season

    February 23, 2020, 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM @ Lake Winnebago

    Head out to several registration stations along the lake to see these giant prehistoric fish. Registration stations in Calumet County are at Waverly Beach, Harbor Bar & Grill and Quinney Quencher. To spear, a license needs to received by Oct. 31 of the previous year.

  2. Tubing at Calumet County Park

    February 23, 2020, 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM @ Calumet County Park

    Admission is $6.00 per person, which includes tube rental and tow ticket. Only tubes provided by Calumet County Parks are permitted on the tube hill. The hill is open on weekends from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM when we have adequate snow coverage. Please call the Calumet County Parks Department Office at 920-439-1008 or the Parks Activity Line at 920-849-1494 to confirm the tube hill is open before you plan your visit. Conditions can change rapidly so please call ahead. Additional hill available for use of your own sleds, snowboards and other devices (no tow on that hill). Refreshments are available at the Coffee Tree Lodge when the tube hill is open.

  4. Feeding Critters at Ledge View Nature Center

    Come to the nature center and watch the naturalist feed the animals that live at Ledge View. Learn about their care and a little bit about each animal. Donations are appreciated and go towards animal care.

  5. Sun Catcher Workshop

    Create a dragonfly sun catcher with beads and wire. Small seed beads will be used. All materials provided. Please call to pre-register. $10 per sun catcher.

  6. Snowy Owls

    February 29, 2020, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM @ Ledge View Nature Center

    Annie from ’Outdoors with Paul and Annie’ will be coming to do a program about the majestic snowy owl. The program will discuss the biology of the species and Annie’s experience with transmitter tagging the owls to gain information about migration patterns. She and her sister will talk in depth on their first hand experience, while showing a series of pictures they were able to capture during that time!
