HILBERT - CALUMET COUNTY - There was plenty of fun to go around in Calumet County as families spent time at one of the area's biggest winter attractions.

With a jacket, snow pants, gloves, and a hat, there's only one more thing 9-year-old Gabrielle Belke needs before she heads up the hill at Calumet County Park--an inner tube.

Belke says this is her very first time tubing, but she's no stranger to sliding down a hill.

"I like going sledding across the hills by my house, and it's really fun going fast down the hills, and I really like it," said Belke.

After a quick trip down the hill, Belke was all smiles.

"It was really fun. I liked going fast,” Belke said.

Belke wasn't the only one spending time at the park.

"We come here every year with my grandson. Oh, it's great today. There's not too much wind, and you can get out of the house, you don't have to be stuck up in the house all the time," said Randy Burns.

Just a few miles down the road, members of the Stockbridge Harbor Fishing Club hosted their third annual Frozen Harborfest.

"It's a good fundraiser. It's a good family event for a whole family to come out here and enjoy," said Scott Broehm, fishing club member.

The fishing club uses the money it raises from the event to help maintain 22 miles of road and bridges for ice fishermen on Lake Winnebago.

Inside a heated tent, people of all ages competed in a bean bag tournament.

"I throw off the wrong foot so apparently I throw wrong," said Margie Mathiebe, referring to criticism of her throwing technique.

But for Mathiebe, it's less about throwing and more about enjoying herself.

"The camaraderie, talking with other people, it's just a very social event." Mathiebe said.

Back at the park, kids and adults kept hopping on their inner tubes as the towline took them to the top of the hill.
