Snowmobile Report

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

All 6 zones of the Calumet County Snowmobile trail system will open at 5:00 p.m. on February 12th, 2019.

Snowmobilers are cautioned that those portions of the public trail on plowed fields which have not been disked or in some other way smoothed are rough and only marginally satisfactory for travel.  Please call the Calumet County Parks hotline (920)849-1494 for up-to-date reports.

The future of private and public snowmobile trails in Calumet County depends largely upon the willingness of property owners to permit snowmobiling on their lands.  Private property owners have granted permission for the development of a snowmobile trail and snowmobiling only within a 20-foot wide corridor; not on all the land they own.  Therefore, snowmobilers are requested to "PLEASE STAY ON MARKED TRAILS UNLESS PERMISSION TO DO OTHERWISE HAS BEEN RECEIVED".  THOSE WHO DO NOT STAY ON THE TRAILS ARE TRESPASSING AND MAY BE PROSECUTED.

Riders should check our 24-hour information line for up-to-date reports (920) 849-1494
